Oxford Preparatory Academy (OPA) Middle School is proud to announce the grand opening of its new campus, located at 22182 Barbera, Laguna Hills, CA. The school’s relocation from Lake Forest marks an exciting new chapter in OPA’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The transition was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, August 8, 2025, attended by students, families, staff, and community supporters.
The ribbon was officially cut by Dr. Amy Smith, President of the OPA Board of Directors, symbolizing the school's exciting new beginning. The ceremony also featured remarks from Dr. Gregory Wise, Principal of OPA Middle School, Mrs. Maggie Burdette, Chief Academic Officer, and Dr. Kimberly Fricker, Executive Director of Oxford Preparatory Academy.
“This beautiful new campus reflects our dedication to providing students with the highest quality educational experience,” said Dr. Wise. “We’re honored to continue our mission in a space that supports excellence, innovation, and a strong sense of community.”
Dr. Fricker added, “This move is the result of collaboration, vision, and unwavering support from our families, Board, and staff. We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this dream to life.”
Students officially began the 2025–2026 school year on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the new Laguna Hills campus, which features modern classrooms, enhanced learning environments, and expanded resources to support OPA’s rigorous academic programs and character-building curriculum.
OPA Middle School is one of only two middle schools in Orange County that offers Career Technical Education (CTE)—a rare and forward-thinking opportunity that introduces students to real-world skills and career pathways well before high school. As a high-performing charter school with a focus on academic rigor, leadership, and character development, OPA continues to prepare its students for success in high school, college, and beyond.
