FBLA Officer/Advisor Training Day

OPA-MS Virtual Enterprises/Career and Technical Education (CTE) students recently attended the California Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Officer/Advisor Training Day. Held at Yorba Linda High School, over 250 high school and middle school students were in attendance. This one-day event provides training and materials from the state level to help local chapters, such as the one at OPA-MS, plan and prepare for activities and programs for the upcoming year.

The OPA-MS Virtual Enterprises CTE track presents the foundations of establishing a business venture or entrepreneurship, including developing a business plan, marketing, and human resources, as well as practicing the development and sale of a product or service. They participate in FBLA events as a means of applying these skills in real-world settings and acquiring technical and occupational knowledge.

FBLA is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a co-curricular student leadership and career technical education program. California FBLA is chartered by the California Department of Education and endorsed as an essential component of business education and High-Quality Career Technical Education (HQCTE).
