Field Trip to SoFi Stadium!

Our OPA-SV 2nd-graders recently took a field trip to visit SoFi Stadium!

OPA offers field trips at every grade level because they offer valuable opportunities for experiential learning that extend beyond the classroom. These outings help bring abstract concepts to life, nurture curiosity, and build social-emotional skills. When students leave the school environment to explore real-world settings, they engage their senses, ask questions, and connect what they’re learning in class to tangible experiences. These trips also foster teamwork, independence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them — all essential for early childhood development.

Our visit to SoFi Stadium was especially impactful for our 2nd-graders. Beyond its role as a sports and entertainment venue, the stadium serves as a living classroom where our champions can explore topics like architecture, engineering, teamwork, and even local history. Walking through the massive structure and witnessing the behind-the-scenes operations can spark new interests and inspire future goals. For 2nd graders, the excitement of being in such a grand space reinforces learning in a memorable way, combining fun with education in a uniquely powerful experience.
